gold day service

Gold Day Service is for those with higher support needs.

We cater for people with lots of different abilities and aim to have activities to suit everyone.

Our staff are able to work closely with individuals to help everyone get the most out of what we are doing.

Within Gold Day Service there is a strong focus on developing new skills and helping people become as independent as possible.

Health and well being are high on our list of priorities.  We go out into the woods as much as possible for fresh air and exercise.  We like to make the most of our surroundings, spending lots of time enjoying Manor Farm Country Park and all it has to offer!

This includes trips to Manor Farm itself, crabbing down by the river and fruit picking in the autumn.  We also do chair based fitness activities for those who find it difficult to get out and about.

We have a strong work ethic, taking responsibility for maintaining our own  patch of the grounds and helping to look after our building.  We do some gardening and woodwork and get involved with the GreenHouse team regularly

We all contribute to preparing lunch and we bake most weeks.

Gold also provides a place for building social skills and relationships. This includes within the Gold group and with the GreenHouse team.

Our on site activity instructors are a great resource and help us to participate in fun activities such as archery, climbing, canoeing and trips on the motorboat.

Gold Day Service runs from Monday to Friday (9:30 – 3:30).

The cost per day is £60 per person.
