Contact us
A vocational day service for adults with learning disabilities with a variety of learning and creative opportunities. Each day has a varied programme with three themes running through:  work skills, independent living and personal development.  With a choice of activities team members have the opportunity to develop skills within their own areas of interest as well as trying new things.

Five A frame cabins are home to Blue Bubble where our team learns about working together, planning, plotting, creating, working hard to make the world a better place, one barrowload at a time!

Meon Cabin is our headquarters, where we plan our day, hang our coats and make a warm drink. It’s also our office where we are setting up an IT suite to coordinate our QE2 Enterprise project which includes budgeting for supplies and items, researching designs, stock taking, keeping records and creating a website to sell our work.

Hamble Cabin is our big space for group activities including music, games, sensory sessions and exploring our creative side through dance and movement.

Itchen Cabin will be our training flat, a self-contained house, with a kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedroom where we can learn about housekeeping, cooking, budgeting and keeping household accounts.  Drawing on experience within a supported living environment we will learn what it might be like to live with future housemates. This will enable us to explore different situations in a house, such as house meetings, making telephone appointments and knowing what to do in an event of a fire.

Test Cabin is our workshop where we carry out woodwork projects and upcycle unwanted items – incorporating our woodwork skills and DIY skills to create a more exciting product.

It also houses our gardening tools which we use to maintain the gardens around the cabins, including a sensory garden, pond and orchard. We learn to use powered tools such as lawnmowers and strimmers, as well as hand tools. Our team has been exploring different herbs and flowers to plant in the sensory garden, as well as having the responsibility of taking care of the fish in the pond.

Beaulieu cabin is our craft room where we get creative – craftwork, including spinning, weaving and looming wool. We are also learning how to use a sewing machine and how to sow using a needle and thread, with an end result of creating a product. We also use this space to draw designs to incorporate onto our upcycled furniture.
